Want more space stuff? Only 4 days left on Astra Nebula Kickstarter!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Oct 20, 2021 at 03:35:59 PM

Hi folks! I wanted to share a quick reminder with you all, that the follow-on project to Terra Conflict is Kickstarting now and nearing it's final days! (only 4 days left).

There's three brand new fleets included for all backers, many more cool creatures, space stations, and much more planned. We're blasting through stretch goals and hopefully going to unlock a fourth fleet and even more before it ends.

Come check it out here if you have not already https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecaroth/the-astra-nebula-3d-printable-tabletop-models

New SpaceShip KS (Astra Nebula) + Free Stuff!!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Sep 30, 2021 at 12:48:43 PM

Hello folks, I hope you are all well!

I wanted to draw your attention to a few things. I just launched a new KS you might be interested in, but more on that later!

One of the common things I heard from Terra Conflict backers is that there was not an easy way to make fighter squads/wings for the fleets. To that end I have developed a trip frame adaptor to use on any 3mm rod stand. The pegs on the adapters are a bit smaller than 3mm, due to the fact that fighters are usually much smaller.  I'm also creating fighter squads for all the fleets from Terra Conflict that you'll all get for free. I also created a few more ships for a couple fleets (Sylwarin, The Hive) that you'll get for free too (some are available right now)

The image below shows the new fighter squadrons for the Sylwarin and Alliance fleets, which we are wrapping up. Also shown are the free-to-print ships included in my new KS, and as you can see two of them are for The Hive.

The new Kickstarter, The Astra Nebula, is the follow-on to The Terra Conflict, and features even more highly-detailed presupported ships, 4 full fleets and many more creatures, civilian stuff, and scenics.

We're also making PDF sheets for A Billion Suns fleets to match (and possibly doing it for The Terra Conflict fleets as well!). I hope you enjoyed the models from this project, and want to come support EC3D for the newest campaign. If so, you can do so here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecaroth/the-astra-nebula-3d-printable-tabletop-models

I'll update again once the new fighter squadrons are all ready for you to download, and the rest of the free ships are live!

Feedback Request
about 3 years ago – Tue, Jan 12, 2021 at 01:33:02 PM

[ FEEDBACK REQUEST ]

Hi folks! It's been a while since this campaign wrapped up, and I'm interested in getting your feedback to help possible further development of a follow-on spaceship Kickstarter. This will help me understand what was valuable, if there is interest, what games people are using models for, and much more.

The survey should take 1-2 minutes max, and can be accessed HERE - I would be very appreciative of any who will take the time to provide your feedback, and I truly appreciate your support!

I would also love to hear your general feedback in the comments, and see any printed models on your table (you can share to my social media on Facebook or Instgram, or email me photos to [email protected] which I might share on social).

[ MORE SCIFI GOODNESSS ]

If you also play 28-32mm games, I have my second large KS live in that scale currently which is in the same world as The Terra Conflict (though obviously the models can be used for whatever game you wish). It's called Novus Landing, it funded in 3 hrs, and we're unlocking tons of stretch goals already. You can check it out by clicking the banner below if you're interested. Cheers!

Physical Books Ready!
over 3 years ago – Fri, Dec 25, 2020 at 06:59:17 AM

Finally, after (much) back/forth with the printer, the books are ready to go! There were only a few small things to tweak over the last month, but due to covid print/ship times were greatly affected, and each updated proof took weeks to finish.

For those that pledged at a level that includes the physical book, you have been sent an email from OneBookShelf/DriveThruRPG that will contain a code/link for you to get a copy of the book for "at cost" wholesale print pricing ($5.79), plus shipping costs. I had built this price into your Kickstarter pledge, but unfortunately cannot find a way to easily copy that over to them for them so I will be refunding those with physical book pledges $6. I have to manually do that for each pledge, so please note it will take me a few days to finalize probably.

NOTE - If you are a book backer, and have not received an email, please check your spam folder and search for [email protected]

If you did not pledge for a physical or digital version of the book but want to purchase one, you can do so HERE. Have a very happy holidays!

Physical Book Updates + New Comic Launch!
over 3 years ago – Tue, Nov 10, 2020 at 12:50:39 PM

The Ignis Quadrant Comic Series

Hello folks, I hope all is well! I wanted to alert you that the Kickstarter for the Ignis Quadrant comic series just launched! It's a labor of love, full of professionally-drawn art, humor,, and a fun sci-fi "space wesern" story. There's some characters from the original Ignis Quadrant 3D kickstarter, plus some from the upcoming Novus Landing 3D kickstarter. You'll also recognize some of the ships and factions from The Terra Conflict - it's all set in the same world, after all!

As part of this project, we created a completely free prequel #0 issue to introduce some of the characters, art style, humor, etc. Even if you're not traditionally a comic reader, I encourage you to check it out as it's tons of fun! (and supports future EC3D ventures, including the upcoming Novus Landing 3D printable scifi project!)

You can read the free prequel by clicking the banner below, or following THIS LINK

Printed Book Update

There have been some delays on the book, but things are still moving well. I ended up having to make tons of changes to the digital version to prepare for printing - all kinds of fun stuff like ink saturation,  slugs, bleed, etc.  All this stuff will end up in a more polished final product, but it all adds up and caused delays to getting things finalized.

The (hopefully) final version is submitted to the print company via OneBookShelf now and, pending any more changes I have to make, I'll just need to see the final printed proof from them before I can kick off final delivery ordering for the physical book. OneBookShel is also reporting some print delays due to Covid, so I'm hoping that doesn't slow things down too much.

My sincerest apologies for all the delays on the book, Covid + all the extra ships have truly added up to cause the slow down but the sliver lining is that the final product should be much better than I had initially thought. Stay tuned for future updates on print status!
